Skills and Training
I studied production and performance design majoring in costume at Design Centre Enmore for three years before commencing NIDA’s BFA in costume. I focused on costume construction and techniques to help inform my designing skills. Learning many more skills in the world of costume such as being able to budget shows, run backstage crews, cut and make garments, and the history of costumes.
All skills that add to my work as a costume designer.
Useful skills
Advanced costume-making skills (Sewing, pattern-making, Cutting)
Technical drawing and costume illustration
Management and leadership skills ( Working with large costume crews in high-stress environments)
Experience working in theatre and film on set and in the office
Art finishing (Breaking down, dying of all fabrics, working with heavy fake blood use)
Majoring in the art of quick change and transforming costumes (Choreographing quick changes and creating quick change costumes)
Qualifications-

Three years of intensive training in costume construction, costume management, supervision, sourcing, art finishing, cutting, and many more costume-making and researching tools.
